The 2016-2017 athletic physicals will be held on May 27th in the Spectator Gymnasium. The cost will be $15.00 in advance (or $20.00 at the door) and appointments can be made in the bookstore. An athlete will need to have a parental consent form filled out by their legal guardian, which can also be obtained in the bookstore when signing up. The physicals will run from 1:30pm - 4:00pm (approximately).
We are extremely fortunate to be given the opportunity to host physicals here at Maine West High School and one of the few schools in the state to do so. Our team physician Dr. Kara Vormittag will be on hand conducting the physicals with her colleagues from Lutheran General Hospital.
All students who wish to participate in athletics next year need an updated physical to do so. Physicals at a primary care physician can range anywhere from $50-$150 and can take weeks to get in so please encourage your athletes to obtain their physical at West and avoid missing anytime during the season because they do not have an updated physical! The proceeds from this physical will go to the athletic training club and be used to buy braces and supplies such as coolers and emergency equipment that benefit all athletic teams.
